Goodness gracious Miuras are truly the most absurd vehicle on earth.

Has it ever been driven just like that?
Must be amazing.

Indeed

The aero wouldn't be very good, its just for the photo, its a race car so it has some differences to a stock Miura.

I would love to know what size and make these tires are.

just asking not challenging why would a race car have a spare tire on board?

Yeah they are big, they might not be hard to find, probably only one company makes them. I do know for some old cars they are on special order through places like the Mercedes Classic Center. Dunlop looks like they supply various classic race cars. I saw a DeTomaso Mangusta race car and the rears were monsters, made by Avon.

Maybe they drive it on the road and take part in classic races, but its probably in the rules that you have to have a spare on board, I know the 60's Jaaaags raced with a spare because I've seen them in the storage space.

Wow, that is nice. The classic Corvette community is stuck right now with either H rated tires (BFG) or changing wheel size. I was wondering how the classic race cars were finding tires. They do sound a bit expensive...

it'd be a bitch to service.

Check out the old Cobra Daytonas...they very often carried a spare in the back. You didn't get towed back as easily back then, so if you got a flat half way around the track, you're changing that sucker.

Aero wasn't the Miura's strong suit, anyway. The nose would lift at high speeds , if I remember correctly.
What event does it race in?

Because the fuel tank is there and gets lighter, maybe should add some things like the battery up there etc. I have to go look up where it was.

They do have the battery up there and the tire is usually there too. Race tires too fat to go there I guess.
